To support the growing number of international Ace retailers and expanding international business, Ace opened the Ace Global Distribution (AGD) warehouse in Shanghai, China in 2006. Ace is the first company in the home improvement industry with a warehouse in China.

The facility gives Ace the ability to purchase product categories tailored to international retailers, and then send these items without going through the United States. This dramatically shortens lead times and increases cost efficiencies.

Previously, products were sourced from a single vendor in full container load quantities and shipped directly to the international customer. With the new Shanghai warehouse, international retailers can purchase smaller quantities from multiple vendors and have these mixed containers shipped directly to their stores.
